Fresh tomatoes yum

My mom and dad had the best garden. At the time I didn't really think that it was the best because it was huge and someone had to weed it and plant it and pick it. I personally gathered thousands of rocks out of that garden. As a kid I just wanted to eat junk food what ever was prepackaged and not healthy sounded good to me. The only meals we ever ate consisted of some kind of veggie out of the garden with salt and pepper with a little butter. Cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, carrots, potatoes, radishes, the list goes on and on, adorned every plate. "Kids this is fresh out of the garden" was common phase at our house. We ate very healthy. I didn't really appreciated as much as I should have. Now as an adult I would do anything for that, I crave it and nothing is the same as a tomatoes out of the garden with just a little salt.
So I thought that I should plant a garden this year now that planting season is here. After hours and hours pulling weeds removing grass and shoveling manewer from the neighbors barn as well as bringing in dirt, We are getting closer to a spot to plant. This is my sad little garden that I have spent hours and hours working on. Yes that is sheet rock. I was told Gypsum really does the job in breaking clay down, since that is mostly what I have in my back yard. So I went to the local construction zone ask the non English speaking worker if I could have some sheet rock to put in my garden. I know I still have much more to do but we are getting closer.
